Opportunities with the U.S. Team

Training

Might God be leading you to consider joining OC's U.S. ministries?

OC-US seeks to expand its ministry of impacting the USA. Becoming a full-time member our team entails joining OC International missionary staff.  However, some who cannot leave their full time ministry role can also be involved on a part-time basis. Please contact us with any questions you have. The kind of people we look for:

Good and Godly Character—We desire single or married people who are mature in their Christian faith, and who endorse our distinctives.

Evangelical in Approach—Team members must hold as a priority the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20) and believe that the new birth is necessary for salvation. Please see the doctrinal statement of OC International.

Ministry Experience—The nature of ones’ experience may vary widely, but individuals who join one of our teams need to have enough experience on the local church level to be able to minister to others in church leadership positions. Some ministries such as administration and research require some experience or aptitude in those areas.

Burden for the US Church, as well as the world—Since our field of ministry is America, it is important that team members share our vision of seeing the Church in the USA fulfill its God-given mandate to reach its own population (including immigrants) as well as for mobilizing Americans to go and reach the world.

Self-funded or Willing to Raise Financial Support—OC International is a faith mission, such that our missionaries raise support for the ministry. Some missionaries come to us as they move from their work to retirement years (called “Finishers”) and therefore have a pension to meet their needs; in this case only funds for ministry expenses need be raised.

Able to Join the Team on Location—Because one of our values is Team, we are committed to living in somewhat close proximity to each other. To become a team member therefore requires a willingness to move to current location of team(s). Seattle is the location of our first team.
