Church leaders in America's cities today are becoming increasingly aware of the ethnic diversity of people within driving or walking distance of their church facility. Visit a nearby school and you will see the various cultural backgrounds of tomorrow! 

Not only is this a sociological reality, ministry to the nations is a Biblical command. Normally, church leaders categorize this area as "missions" and delegate it to a committee in the church. Our contention is that reaching the nations should not be relegated to ministry far away, but should capture our interest right in our own communities. Acts 1:8 calls us to our local, and global, opportunities.

1. "ENCOUNTER" VISITS TO MULTIETHNIC CHURCHES. One of the best ways to get a glimpse of a diverse church is to visit one and interact with the church leaders and members. 2. INTERCULTURAL COACHING. It is challenging enough to guide a church consisting of people from similar cultural backgrounds. Imagine the challenge of leading a church where people bring differing worldviews, worship styles, food preferences, concepts of time, decision-making approaches, and much more!
