High quality leaders are needed to fulfill the Great Commission. A good assessment will help minimize the emotional and spiritual hazards resulting from poor selection. It will also help good planters become better planters because they will know their strengths and weaknesses.

Profile Assessments: Personal. Reliable. Comprehensive.

Using the Profile Assessment System created by Dr. Charles Ridley, our trained and certified assessors interview candidates by a guiding principle that “past performance is an effective indicator of immediate future action.”

Interviews are conducted in person by a team of two assessors. The participation of both the church planter candidate and spouse for a total of seven hours is required. A flexible scheduling policy allows for consideration of the candidate’s schedules and geographical constraints.

Comprehensive reports are completed and delivered to the sponsoring church or organization within two weeks.

“The assessment helps good planters become better planters by revealing their strengths and limitations. This information helps the planter build their team around what they have discovered about themselves. Research continues to demonstrate that consistent patterns of behavior in the past are the best predictors of future behavior. That’s why a behavioral interview acts as the foundation for any strong assessment process.”

Dr. Robert Logan, Executive Director, CoachNet International Ministries

“An invaluable resource for our church planting decisions for over 20 years. Commitment to funding and approval of a planter is made only after having received the assessment results.” Rev. Mike Livingston, District Superintendent, Missionary Church Western District

“A good assessment protects the emotional well being of the church planter and their family, clarifies and empowers the calling of the church planter, and will help eliminate bias, blindness and favoritism on the part of the sending body, church or denomination.” Dr. Steve Ogne, Church Planting Consultant, Church Resource Ministries

“…our assessment really exposed those key areas in ministry that brought insight into our decision about church planting. It was very personal, fun and comfortable and my wife was pleasantly surprised by that.” Planters Travis and Jyll Mullen, Providence, Rhode Island

Schedule Assessment

The Profile Assessment System was created by Dr. Charles Ridley, an occupational psychologist and hiring consultant who conducted a study of 100 church planters in several protestant denominations. He determined thirteen key behavioral qualities were critical for an individual to be an effective church planter.
